Some 1,200 enterprises from 20 countries and territories are currently showcasing cutting-edge products and innovative solutions at the highly anticipated Vietnam Expo 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City. The three-day trade fair, held from December 7 to 9 at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Centre (SECC), is attracting attention from both domestic and international participants.
Nguyen Van Nga, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Agency for Southern Affairs, emphasized that Vietnam Expo 2023 is an esteemed international trade event that effectively enhances trade promotion and investment between Vietnam and numerous countries across the globe. The exhibition offers valuable insights into the latest trends, innovative products, and novel approaches in manufacturing and trading.
Organized by the Vietnam National Trade Fair & Advertising Company (Vinexad), the Vietnam Expo 2023 features 1,600 booths highlighting excellence and innovation in five key sectors: Hardware & Hand Tools, Garden & Landscape, Elevator & Components, Sports & Cycling, and International Pavilions. Among the participating countries are China, India, the Republic of Korea, Belarus, and Sri Lanka, which have set up their respective international pavilions.
A significant highlight of the expo is the 1,200-square-meter China pavilion, where renowned enterprises such as Alibaba.com, Strong Power Electric, Haima Automobile, Sinski Vehicle, and Lansheng Light Industrial Products are exhibiting their exceptional offerings. Chinese exhibitors are eagerly seeking meaningful connections with Vietnamese businesses at the Economic and Technological Programme for Lancang-Mekong Cooperation. They are showcasing China’s best innovations and capabilities, including advanced technologies and a diverse range of products spanning electronics, vehicles, agricultural goods, and intelligent equipment.
To facilitate efficient connections and foster bilateral economic and trade cooperation, a matching-making event was held on December 7, offering participants further opportunities to establish valuable partnerships. Additionally, within the framework of the expo, several specialized events have been planned, including industrial park tours, do-it-yourself workshops, trade and investment promotion seminars and conferences, as well as competitions and demonstrations.
One of these specialized events, the Belarusian-Vietnamese Forum, organized by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency and the Embassy of Belarus in Vietnam, took place on December 7. The forum aimed to strengthen business exchanges, establish collaboration possibilities, and enhance product promotion, highlighting the commitment of both countries to market development and investment efficiency.
Since its inaugural edition in 1991, Vietnam Expo has evolved into a prestigious event for Vietnamese firms to showcase their products and seek partnerships. This year, the expo expects to attract over 20,000 visitors as it runs concurrently with the Vietnam Hardware & Hand Tools Expo 2023 (VHHE) at SECC.
