The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) recently organized an all India financial literacy quiz for students in government schools. The quiz, conducted by RBI and bank officials, covered topics such as financial literacy, banking systems, and G-20.
The competition was held in Phanda and Berasia development blocks of Bhopal district on June 15th, with the next phase set to be held on July 3rd at the Government Subhash Higher Secondary School for Excellence.
The purpose of the quiz is to promote financial literacy among students in classes 8-10. Students who participated in the quiz were asked to answer questions related to the topics covered, and the winners were chosen based on their scores.
First place in the Berasia block was secured jointly by Roshni Ahirwar and Ayushi Valmikai, while in Phanda block, Monika Shriwas and Shivraj Kushwaha came out on top.
Financial literacy is a crucial skill for individuals of all ages, and it is especially important for younger generations to develop an understanding of basic financial concepts. The RBI’s efforts to promote financial literacy through initiatives such as this quiz are therefore commendable.
The next phase of the competition will be held at the district level, where students will have the opportunity to further showcase their understanding of financial concepts and compete against other participants.
