India and Africa are set to bolster their partnership in the coming days through greater business engagement, deeper research, trade flows, and export opportunities, according to Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan. Speaking at the 18th CII-EXIM Bank Conclave on India-Africa Growth Partnership, Muraleedharan highlighted the significant prospects for collaboration across various fields, including agriculture, health care, digital technologies and infrastructure. The Vice President of Zimbabwe, C.G.D.N. Chiwenga, outlined India’s role in Africa’s digital revolution, including more inclusive participation that creates jobs and narrows poverty gaps. Building healthy business environments for Indian investment in key sectors like renewable energy and food processing will further strengthen the relationship, the Vice President of Gambia, Muhammad B.S. Jallow, added. The annual Conclave has encouraged Indian businesses to expand in Africa since its launch in 2005, culminating in the current focus on trade, investments, and knowledge exchange through shared value creation.
