Hall of Fame linebacker Ray Lewis is mourning the death of his son, Ray Lewis III, who passed away at the age of 28. The cause of death was not immediately announced, but TMZ Sports is now reporting that Lewis III died of an accidental overdose. Police responded to a medical emergency call and found Lewis III unresponsive in a room. They administered narcan, a drug used during overdoses, but there was no response. Authorities found a blue pill near Lewis III’s body, which was identified as Alprazolam. Additionally, they found a used needle and a small plastic bag inside an empty beer can in the room. Ray Lewis III was a standout high school football player and played at Miami, Coastal Carolina, and Virginia Union. His father has yet to comment on the tragedy.
