EnCompass LLC Seeks Learning Advisor to Enhance Training and Development Programs

The Learning Advisor will provide leadership, expertise, and innovative learning approaches to the USAID-funded project, Planning, Learning, and Resource Management Training, Professional, and Organizational Development (PLR-TPOD). The USAID Bureau for Planning, Learning, and Resource Management (PLR) was established in 2023 through the merger of the Bureau for Policy, Planning, and Learning (PPL) and Office of Budget and Resource Management. EnCompass LLC partners with PLR to create a learning and leadership ecosystem that leverages both formal and informal learning opportunities. The Learning Advisor will play a crucial role in supervising, managing, and providing leadership for the PLR-TPOD’s professional development, training, and leadership initiatives.

As a Learning Advisor, the individual will collaborate closely with PLR to incorporate good practices in instructional design and educational technologies into PLR-TPOD supported activities. This includes utilizing various learning methods such as face-to-face delivery, action learning, e-learning courses, videos, and virtual instructor-led training. The advisor will have the responsibility of ensuring high-quality standards throughout all training and development approaches and materials supported by PLR-TPOD.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess deep knowledge of adult learning methods, facilitation and training expertise, and experience in managing USAID projects. Familiarity with coaching and development of learning frameworks is also preferred. Additionally, the Learning Advisor will supervise training staff on the PLR-TPOD project, providing mentorship to ensure the achievement of deliverables and the highest quality in training outcomes.

This is a full-time position located at the EnCompass principal office in Silver Spring, Maryland. EnCompass follows a flexible hybrid work model, with split time between telework and the office. The Learning Advisor may also be required to work at client sites in the Washington, DC metro area as needed. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship for a work visa or permit.
