The G20 Education Working Group meetings have played a crucial role in sharing the best practices from around the world when it comes to technology-enabled learning, promoting innovation and strengthening research, and skill development, according to Union Education Minister of State for Education Annapurna Devi. Devi made her remarks at the inaugural session of a national conference on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) held in Pune ahead of the precursor event for the fourth G20 Education Working Group meeting (EWG) meeting. Devi also inaugurated a multimedia exhibition which showcased the best practices in education, FLN, digital initiatives, research, and skill development. Over 100 exhibitors, including Google, UNICEF, and the National Book Trust, were among those who participated in the exhibition. The EdWG event, which will be followed by the meeting of education ministers from G20 countries on June 22, is aimed at creating more awareness about India’s G20 presidency while encouraging universal attainment of FLN skills.
