London, Nov 29 – British star Matt Smith has been cast in the lead role for the upcoming limited drama series The Death of Bunny Munro. The six-episode show, based on Nick Cave’s darkly comic novel of the same name, will be produced by Clerkenwell Films in association with Sky Studios, according to a press release. Smith, known for his roles in Doctor Who, The Crown, and Game of Thrones spinoff House of the Dragon, will play Bunny Munro, a troubled sex addict and door-to-door beauty product salesman whose life takes a tragic turn following his wife’s suicide. The series will delve into Munro’s complex relationship with his nine-year-old son as they embark on a chaotic road trip across southern England, attempting to cope with their grief. Filming is set to begin in 2024 and the show will be available on Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW.
