K-pop girl group NMIXX is set to captivate fans with their upcoming album titled Fe3O4: BREAK, scheduled for release on Jan. 15 next year. As they gear up for the highly-anticipated EP, the group unveiled plans for a pre-release digital single, Sonar (Breaker), which will be available on Dec. 4.
The poster for NMIXX’s new mini-album, Fe3O4: BREAK, was recently revealed by JYP Entertainment, the powerhouse behind the girl group. The album comes just six months after the release of their July album, A Midsummer NMIXX’s Dream.
Adding a touch of mystery, the album title incorporates the chemical symbol Fe3O4, while the pre-release single is named Sonar, the Spanish word for dream. The agency stated in an official press release that the upcoming album will showcase a fresh charm of NMIXX, promising a unique experience for fans.
Comprised of six members, Haewon, Lily, Sullyoon, BAE, Jiwoo, and Kyujin, NMIXX made their debut in February 2022 with the single album AD MARE. Despite facing a temporary setback with the departure of former member Jinni, the group made a powerful comeback with chart-topping hits like Love Me Like This (2023) and Rollercoaster (2023).
Notably, NMIXX achieved an impressive international feat with their first solo showcase tour, NICE TO MIXX YOU, held from May to June this year. The group mesmerized audiences in 13 overseas destinations with a total of 14 shows. The success continued with the fan concert NMIXX THE 1ST FAN CONCERT ‘NMIXX CHANGE UP: MIXX UNIVERSITY’ held in October at Jangchung Arena in Seoul’s Jung District.
