Study Finds Two-Thirds of COVID-19 Vaccine Recipients Face Health Complications After a Year, India

A recent study published in ScienceDirect reveals concerning findings regarding the long-term health complications experienced by recipients of COVID-19 vaccines. The study, funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research, focused on the impact of post-COVID-19 vaccination syndrome (PCVS) on the quality of life of Indian adults who received either Bharat Biotech’s COVAXIN or the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines.

The study found that nearly two-thirds of vaccine recipients, or 64.6 percent, suffered from health complications one year after getting vaccinated. Additionally, 52.8 percent of participants experienced at least one PCVS a month after their first vaccination. Notably, the occurrence of PCVS was higher among those who received the AstraZeneca vaccine compared to COVAXIN.

Further analysis revealed that individuals who opted for booster shots reported even higher rates of PCVS, with over 80 percent experiencing complications. This is in stark contrast to the unvaccinated group, where only 50 percent reported a similar syndrome. The quality of life also appeared to decline after receiving booster shots.

The study authors acknowledged that discussions surrounding the impact of vaccination on individuals with long-term COVID-19 symptoms have resulted in varying opinions. Some evidence suggests an improvement in symptoms, while others indicate a continuation or even worsening of symptoms following vaccination. The study also highlighted a larger change in antibody titers in vaccinated individuals whose illnesses worsened.

These findings contribute to a growing body of research suggesting potential health complications associated with COVID-19 vaccines. A previous review documented cardiovascular complications in individuals who had received mRNA vaccines, with concerns surrounding thrombosis and even deaths. Cardiologist Peter McCullough called these findings a cardiovascular safety disaster and questioned the continuous promotion of these vaccines by public health agencies.

Additional research revealed common chronic symptoms among vaccine recipients, including fatigue, brain fog, numbness, and exercise intolerance. Dizziness, burning sensations, tinnitus, headache, insomnia, palpitations, and myalgia were also reported by at least half of the participants.

Despite these concerns, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) continues to recommend COVID-19 vaccines from Pfizer, Moderna, and Novavax, even for children as young as six months old. The CDC maintains that these vaccinations are necessary to protect against serious illness from COVID-19. However, recent government files disclosed that over five million COVID-19 infections in 2021 occurred among vaccinated individuals.

It is important to note that these findings do not encompass all COVID-19 vaccines and do not invalidate the overall effectiveness of vaccines in reducing severe illness and hospitalization. As further studies and research are conducted, it is crucial to continue monitoring and assessing the potential risks and benefits associated with COVID-19 vaccinations.

In light of the study’s findings, further investigation and dialogue among healthcare experts and policymakers are warranted to ensure the safety and well-being of vaccine recipients. The priority should be to strike a balance between protecting individuals from COVID-19 while addressing potential health complications associated with vaccination.
