A newly constructed birth waiting home, aimed at assisting 40,000 households in Jharkhand’s Saraikela-Kharsawan district, was inaugurated on Thursday. The birth waiting home, the second of its kind in the Kolhan region, was built by the Tata Steel Foundation (TSF). The facility in Kuchai was inaugurated by Kharsawan JMM MLA Dashrath Gagrai, with the presence of district officials and TSF’s chief executive officer Sourav Roy. The birth waiting home is expected to provide essential support to expectant mothers and ensure better healthcare services in the region. The Kolhan region is set to have a third birth waiting home inaugurated later this year.
