Local Law Firm Offers Free Rideshares to Prevent Drunk Driving in Waco this Thanksgiving

WACO, Texas – In a bid to curb drunk driving incidents during the Thanksgiving holiday, the Zimmerman Law Firm is stepping up to provide free rideshares for Waco residents. From November 22nd through Thanksgiving, locals aged 21 and over can take advantage of this offer and receive reimbursement for Uber, Lyft, or cab rides.

The law firm’s Thanksgiving eve offer will run from 5 p.m. on November 22nd until 10 a.m. the following morning. It will also be available on Thanksgiving day from 5 p.m. to 10 a.m. the next day. The aim is to encourage individuals to make responsible choices and opt for a safe ride home after consuming alcohol.

If you decide to go out and drink over the holidays, make the responsible choice and take an Uber, Lyft, or cab ride home, and we will reimburse you for the ride home, the law firm stated.

The program has a few key details that participants should keep in mind. Rides must be taken in Waco, Texas, between 5 p.m. on the day of the holiday and 10 a.m. the next morning. Additionally, each household is eligible for one reimbursement for a one-way ride to a safe destination within Waco, with a maximum value of $25. This amount includes a tip of up to 10%. However, anything above a 10% tip on the base fare will not be reimbursed. It’s important to note that only the first 50 submissions will be accepted, so participants are encouraged to act quickly.

To receive reimbursement, participants must mail a copy of their ride receipt and a copy of their photo ID to the Zimmerman Law Firm office within 10 business days.
