Former Munster Young Player of the Year Dan Goggin has signed with French club Montauban for the 2023/24 season. Montauban plays in Pro D2, France’s second-level professional league. After making his senior debut for Munster in 2016, Goggin went on to play 81 games for the province. While he signed a two-year extension last season, Goggin struggled to establish himself as a regular starter under coach Graham Rowntree this season, making just five starts, with his last appearance coming in October against Leinster. The 28-year-old Limerick native said it was an honour to play for Munster. But everyone has their time and unfortunately/fortunately now is mine and I’m extremely excited for a new chapter in life, he said.
Dan Goggin signs with Montaubin Rugby Club following release from Munster
