To protect children during the holiday season, UAMS recommends regular handwashing and the use of hand sanitizers. It is also important to be cautious when touching common surfaces and consider wearing masks when in close proximity to others. Vaccination is strongly encouraged as a preventive measure. Currently, RSV vaccines are available for older adults aged 60 and above, as well as pregnant women in their final trimester, who can pass on antibodies to protect their babies.
