Renowned Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan is mourning the unexpected and tragic death of acclaimed director Sanjay Gadhvi. Abhishek, who collaborated with Gadhvi on the successful films Dhoom and Dhoom 2, took to Instagram to express his shock and grief. In a heartfelt tribute, Abhishek shared never-before-seen photos of Gadhvi and revealed that he had spoken to him just last week. The actor recalled their days working together on the sets of Dhoom and Dhoom 2 during their last conversation. Abhishek admitted that he never imagined having to write a post like this in his craziest dreams.
Abhishek Bachchan expressed his deep sorrow, stating, I took this photo of Sanjay whilst we were filming the climax of Dhoom 2 in South Africa. We made 2 films together – Dhoom and Dhoom 2. Sanju, when I spoke to you last week and we were reminiscing about our shoots and memories, I would never have imagined even in my craziest dreams that I would have to write a post like this. I’m shocked beyond belief.
The actor also acknowledged Gadhvi’s unwavering faith in him, even during times when Abhishek lacked confidence in himself. Gadhvi gave Abhishek his first-ever hit, and the actor expressed his eternal gratitude for that. Abhishek concluded his note by saying that he will always cherish their friendship and wished Gadhvi to rest in peace.

Sanjay Gadhvi passed away on Sunday, November 19, in Mumbai. He was 56 years old, just three days shy of his 57th birthday. According to his daughter, Sanjina Gadhvi, he unexpectedly suffered a heart attack. Sanjina revealed, He passed away at 9.30 am this morning at his residence. We are not sure what it is, but it is most likely a heart attack. He wasn’t unwell, he was perfectly healthy. Gadhvi is survived by his wife Gina and their daughters, with Sanjina being the elder one.
