Laura Henderson has won the Tarbert Golf Cup after exhibiting a remarkable performance. She dominated the annual Dickie’s Cup competition by posting a net 58, defeating Sheena Ferguson who took second place with a net 63. Frances Hardie was third with a net 64. The winning golfer is also a member of the Tarbert Golf Club, where she participated in the June Medal competition held earlier in the month. During this contest, Angela Vernel took second place, and Jodie Henderson clinched the third spot.
The Tarbert Golf Club is known for its members’ competitiveness. This month, the male members also stepped up their game and competed for the Dodies Cup. Mickey MacNeill showcased an outstanding performance by taking the title home to Mealdarroch with a net 65. Iain Macalister followed closely in second place with 66, while Craig Barrett had the best scratch score on 66.
The club expressed their gratitude to all the participants of the competitions and extended a special thank you to the Dickie family for providing some exquisite gin as an additional prize. Looking to the future, the association has scheduled a pairs competition named the Fishermen’s Cup. It is set to take place on Saturday, with members gathering at 12:30 pm.
