DNA Match Confirms Prime Suspect in Murder Case of Girl Found Dead in Khairpur Mansion
In a significant development in the murder case of nine-year-old housemaid Fatima Furro, DNA samples have confirmed the prime suspect’s involvement. Pir Asad Shah, the owner of the mansion in Khairpur’s Ranipur area where the girl was employed, has been identified as the prime suspect in the murder investigation.
The case took a gruesome turn when the post-mortem report revealed that Fatima had also been sexually abused. Following the discovery of her lifeless body under mysterious circumstances on August 14, her mother, Shabnam Khatoon, lodged a complaint, leading to the initiation of an investigation.
Suspects Pir Asad Shah, his wife Hina Shah, his father-in-law Pir Fayyaz Shah, and Imtiaz Mirasi were all arrested during the course of the investigation. Initial DNA samples of the prime suspect did not provide a match, as the officials from the health department allegedly destroyed the specimens under the suspect’s influence. However, when the samples were processed at a facility in Punjab, the DNA match was established.
The Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences in Jamshoro issued a DNA report stating that mix DNA profiles were obtained from semen stains on the victim’s clothes. The victim’s father, Nadeem Ali Furiro, had initially claimed that his daughter was suffering from a stomach-related ailment. However, videos depicting torture marks on a girl went viral, raising suspicions about the cause of her death. These videos, which were leaked, were obtained by the police team investigating the case.
In light of the seriousness of the matter, the Sukkur Counterterrorism Department Deputy Superintendent of Police Abdul Qudoos Kalwar met with the girl’s parents and reviewed the viral videos. The police then concluded that exhuming Fatima’s body was necessary for further investigation.
A key suspect in the case was arrested on August 17 and later remanded into police custody. Another teenage housemaid also came forward, alleging torture by Pir Asad Shah and his wife, Hina Shah. The claims made by the 13-year-old girl have been included in the FIR lodged by Fatima’s mother against the suspects.
This latest development offers hope for justice in the tragic case of Fatima Furro’s murder. As investigations continue, the authorities are determined to ensure that the perpetrators are held accountable for their heinous actions.
