Stellantis Ventures, the venture capital arm of Stellantis NV (NYSE:STLA), has announced a €100 million ($108.3 million) investment in automotive and battery technology startups as well as a mobility venture fund. The investment will go into ten startups, including Nauto, a company that provides fleet safety management technology, battery technology firm Electra Vehicles, and electric bike venture Beweelsociety. Stellantis Ventures has said that it will begin to offer Nauto technology on its commercial fleet vehicles this summer. In addition to the investments in startups, Stellantis Ventures will also invest in a mobility venture fund, the amount of which has not been disclosed. Adam Bazih, head of Stellantis Ventures, acknowledged the high-risk nature of venture capital investments, saying that they can go wrong 70 to 80% of the time and that the remaining 20% hopefully carries the rest.
