Boris Johnson Denounces ‘Evil’ Hamas Attacks during Emotional Visit to Kfar Aza
Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson expressed his deep horror and condemnation of the Hamas attacks on Israel during an emotional visit to the scene of one of the terrorist group’s bloodiest massacres. Wearing body armor, Mr. Johnson toured the devastating aftermath of the Hamas assault on the Kfar Aza kibbutz, where innocent men, women, and children were indiscriminately slaughtered on October 7.
Addressing the media after the visit, Mr. Johnson took a swipe at the BBC and others who have been hesitant to label the Hamas atrocities as acts of terrorism. He exclaimed, ‘No one witnessing the carnage of that kibbutz could have any doubt that this was pure terror.’ The former prime minister also criticized pro-Palestinian demonstrators in the UK, cautioning that their actions inadvertently support the terrorists of Hamas.
The visit was shrouded in secrecy to ensure the safety of Mr. Johnson and former Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, who accompanied him. After traveling to Jerusalem, they made their way south to the Kfar Aza kibbutz, situated just yards away from the fence separating Israel from the three-mile buffer zone with Gaza.
As they were shown the remains of bullet-ridden vehicles and toured the site where dozens of Israelis lost their lives in their own homes, both Mr. Johnson and Mr. Morrison wore solemn expressions. The former prime minister later urged people engaged in the debate over Israel’s response in Gaza to remember the victims of Hamas. He emphasized Israel’s effort to protect civilians, stating that ‘the Israelis are doing their best to minimize harm to civilians, even if they are not always successful.’
The Kfar Aza kibbutz suffered a horrific tragedy, with reports suggesting that over 100 residents, including around 40 babies and children, were killed in the attack. The brutality of Hamas was staggering, as even babies were beheaded. Around 20 residents are still missing, feared to have been taken into Gaza by the terrorist group. It is believed that approximately 70 gunmen broke through the kibbutz’s fence and used rocket-propelled grenades to destroy security posts and invade homes.
When the Israeli Defense Force regained control of the kibbutz, they discovered an unspeakable massacre. Victims were tortured, beheaded, and showed signs of extreme brutality. Mr. Johnson, sharing his observations with GB News, proclaimed, ‘This was an orgy of brutality and torture against innocent people.’
The former prime minister ended his statement by urging those protesting against Israel to witness the horrors he had seen. He emphasized the need for the state of Israel as a sanctuary where Jews can be safe. The visit to Kfar Aza served as a stark reminder of the heinous acts committed by Hamas, and Mr. Johnson made it clear that condemning these acts of terrorism is of utmost importance.
