DAVV to Launch Mobile Application for Improved Facilities at Regional Centres in Indore

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) in Indore is planning to launch its own app similar to Indore 311 to accept complaints from students and other stakeholders. The university has also committed to improving facilities at all its regional centers and ensuring the appointment of more teachers in colleges affiliated to it. The announcement was made following a demonstration by activists of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad alleging irregularities in academic and administrative affairs. Around 1,000 activists in the form of a rally reached DAVV’s administrative campus but were stopped outside the main entrance by heavy police deployment. The protesters handed over a memorandum with 23 demands. DAVV assured the protesters it would launch a similar app and make operational the regional centers that are not currently functional. The university also said it would increase facilities and initiate affiliation based on inspection.
