The Mumbai Crime Branch Police’s anti-narcotics cell arrested a Nigerian national in Borivali with Mephedrone drugs worth over INR 20 lakh. The man was caught during patrolling on Tuesday evening, and 102 mg of the drug was recovered from him. The police said that the accused had been living in India without valid documents or a passport. A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) has been registered against the accused, and he has been sent to police remand. Further investigation is underway.
The Odisha Special Task Force (STF) team seized 161 kg of Ganja from Chandrapur village and arrested three persons. The arrested men were identified as Sarmit Urma of Chandrapur village, Rohit Behra of Madhapur village and Sunil Deep of Routpada. Kishore Kumar Panigrahi, the SP of the Odisha STF, informed that more than 161 kg of Ganja and other incriminating evidence was seized from the trio during a raid against illegal storage and selling of narcotic drugs.
