The Cuncolim Civic and Consumer Forum (CCCF) has raised concerns over the damaged roofing of the KTCL bus stand at Cuncolim. According to the CCCF, no repairs have been undertaken yet, despite several complaints made to the directorate of transport and the Kadamba Transport Corporation Ltd. The damaged roofing poses a significant risk to the public, and the lack of signage and display of bus timings is also concerning.
In a letter addressed to South Goa collector Asvin Chandru A, CCCF secretary Lorna Fernandes urged for immediate action to be taken. The CCCF has previously proposed an inspection of the bus stand, but this was never undertaken.
The lack of response from the authorities is worrying for the citizens of Cuncolim. They are calling for urgent intervention to ensure the safety of the public and to address the roofing issue, as well as the other concerns raised by the CCCF.
It is important for the authorities to take note of the concerns raised and to prioritize the safety of the public. The citizens of Cuncolim should not have to worry about unsafe infrastructure when using public transportation. It is time for action to be taken to ensure that the bus stand is properly maintained and safe for all.
