The Madhya Pradesh government has decided to award 9,000 e-scooters to students who secured the first position in the Class 12 board exams. Both boys and girls who score top marks across all government higher secondary schools in the state will be eligible to receive an e-scooter. Narottam Mishra, the State Home Minister, announced the decision on Wednesday after the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. In areas where e-scooters are not available, normal scooters will be provided to the students. The state government said its initiative is aimed at encouraging students to focus on their education.
