Five plastic surgery startups have advanced to the finals of the annual medtech competition, the MTI/ASPS Plastic Surgery Accelerator. The firms successfully progressed through the rigorous selection process to represent the Accelerator track in this year’s MedTech Innovator Accelerator program and competition. 4th Dimension EMR, Cellulora, Fingy 3D, ImmersiveTouch, and Newrotex all successfully made it to the final stage of the competition out of the 70 to apply. The selected startups would be part of a four-month program aimed at helping promising new businesses focused on medical device, diagnostic, and digital health technology. The cohort participants from the MTI/ASPS Plastic Surgery Accelerator will also receive mentorship from ASPS surgeons and participating entrepreneurs. MedTech Innovator has provided support for around 500 companies since its launch in 2013, with more than 200 FDA approvals and $6.8 billion in funding awarded.
