Nine people lost their lives and dozens were injured in two tragic road accidents that occurred in Maharashtra’s Beed district. The first accident involved a speeding bus, which overturned at Aashta Fata around 6 am on Thursday. The bus was en route from Mumbai to Beed when the driver lost control, resulting in the devastating crash. Five individuals, four from Beed district and one from Yavatmal, tragically lost their lives, while twenty-six others sustained injuries and were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.
In another unfortunate incident, a collision occurred between an ambulance and a truck, claiming four lives and leaving one person injured. The collision took place at Ambhora on Dhamangaon-Ahmednagar Road in Beed at approximately 9.30 pm on Wednesday. The ambulance, en route to Ahmednagar, collided with the truck from behind. The driver of the ambulance, along with two other individuals, tragically lost their lives on the spot. Additionally, a doctor present in the ambulance succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Ahmednagar.
The deceased in the bus accident have been identified as Dhondiba Shinde, Deodatt Peche, Mohammad Asif Dost Mohammed Khan, Ashok Bhondve, and Ravi Godambe. The deceased in the ambulance-truck collision have been identified as Dr. Rajesh Jhinjurke, ambulance driver Bharat Lokhande, Manoj Tirpude, and Pappu Tirkhunde. The injured person was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
