Former Union Minister YS Chowdary met with BJP General Secretary BL Santhosh in New Delhi on Wednesday, amid speculation of a possible tie-up between BJP and TDP for the Lok Sabha and assembly polls in Andhra Pradesh. Sources suggest that during the meeting, Chowdary held discussions about the political situation in the state, as well as the performance of the YSRC government. The meeting is highly significant as Chowdary was previously with TDP and a former Minister under the TDP quota. TDP and BJP have been speculated to form an alliance in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. However, TDP had previously parted ways with BJP in 2018. It remains to be seen whether the two parties will reach an agreement.
