Lucknow STF has recently seized two individuals for their involvement in selling prohibited drugs and psychotropic substances in Abidi Apartment, Golaganj locality. The arrested persons, Salman Hashmi from Aishbagh in Bazaarkhala and Al Zaid from Dubagga in Lucknow, were allegedly running a drug cartel from their apartment and using customer data from the dark web to charge money through e-wallets or bitcoins.
The STF recovered 370 strips of drugs and medicines, as well as a laptop, seven ATM cards, four mobile phones, Aadhaar cards and cash worth Rs 1,500 from the possession of the culprits. STF officers were tipped off by an informant about Salman’s presence in the Abidi Apartment. A team swiftly arrested Salman and his accomplice.
The spokesperson for STF described Salman as the gang leader and revealed that he had been running the cartel from his flat at Abidi Apartment for a long time. The accused have been under investigation by the STF who arrested them following a tip-off by an informant.
The recovery of a large amount of drugs and other related materials has made the case more critical in the state of UP. The use of such psychotropic substances can lead to serious health hazards and can cause addiction in users, especially amongst young people. The STF has been working tirelessly to curb illegal drug trafficking, which is detrimental to society.
It is important to note the efforts made by the STF and other competent authorities in tackling this problem effectively. The public must also cooperate by reporting such criminal activities to the authorities. By working together, we can make our society drug-free and ensure a safe and secure environment for our future generations.
