Tragic Car Accident in Gumla: One Fatality, Several Injured in 300-Foot Gorge Plunge
Gumla, Oct 22: A devastating car accident occurred near the Military turn in Netarhat Valley of the Gurdari police station area in Gumla district, claiming the life of a young man from Ranchi and leaving others with serious injuries.
The incident involved a car carrying a group of five young men who were travelling from Ranchi to Netarhat for a leisurely visit. Unfortunately, during their journey, the car lost control, hurtling into a 300-foot-deep gorge.
The victim, Mohammed Shahbaz Rizvi, known as Kaif, a 20-year-old resident of Barriatu, Ranchi, tragically lost his life at the scene of the accident. The driver, identified as Shadab Khan, aged 35, sustained severe head injuries, while Sharikh Khan suffered a fracture in his right leg. Additionally, Fardeen Khan, 18 years old, and Saiyad Saeed, 19 years old, suffered minor injuries.
Local authorities swiftly responded to the distressing incident, with the police promptly arriving at the site. They took charge of the deceased’s body, which has been sent for post-mortem, and ensured the injured individuals were immediately transported to the hospital for medical attention.
