Madhya Pradesh (MP) and Uttar Pradesh (UP) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote cultural exchange for three years. The event took place at the Gandhi Auditorium in Raj Bhavan, Lucknow, and was held under the UP Natak Akademi Samman Samaroh 2023 on Tuesday. The MoU has the potential to extend for another three years if mutually agreed.
As part of the agreement, the two states will prepare a book documenting their rich cultures, customs, and traditions and distribute it in various educational institutions. Additionally, the two states will broadcast each other’s local TV and radio channels to their respective states.
The Uttar Pradesh government has also inaugurated the marketing office of tourism in Lucknow to promote the culture and tourism of Madhya Pradesh. MP’s culture and tourism minister, Usha Thakur, was present at the event.
This agreement will not only promote cultural exchange between the two states but also enhance tourism by highlighting the splendors of these two states. The successful implementation of this MoU will attract more tourists and encourage them to learn about the diverse cultures of India.
The MoU is an excellent example of how states can collaborate to promote cultural diversity, enhance tourism, and strengthen cultural bonds. We hope to see more such initiatives in the future.
