MBC Anime, a collaboration between MBC Group and Tokyopop, has exciting news for anime enthusiasts in the Middle East and North Africa. The company has announced its investment in two original anime productions, Kami.App and Protocol: Rain, set to premiere globally this month.

In partnership with Fuji TV and TV Asahi, both shows will be released in Japan and worldwide, showcasing the growing prominence of anime on a global scale. Kami.App presents an action-packed narrative following high school student Goro as he battles rivals, aspiring to become the ultimate kami, with dominion over the fundamental forces governing the world.

On the other hand, Protocol: Rain highlights the story of Shun Tokinoya, a multitasking high school student managing his studies while working part-time at an esports cafe. Shun embarks on a thrilling journey to compete in the Xaxxerion Championship, driven by his determination to win the prize money and find purpose in life following the loss of his father.

With all 12 episodes directed by Yasutaka Yamamoto and scripted by Katsuhiko Takayama, these anime productions promise captivating storytelling and immersive experiences. Fans can look forward to streaming the series on MBC Group’s platform, Shahid, later this year.
