Former Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA Kothakota Dayakar Reddy passed away at the age of 70 on Tuesday in Hyderabad due to ill health. He was elected thrice to the Legislative Assembly in undivided Andhra Pradesh from Amarchinta and Makthal in Mahabubnagar district of Telangana. Dayakar Reddy had been unwell for some time and breathed his last at a private hospital on Tuesday morning according to sources.
Several political leaders, including TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu, Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy, state ministers, state Congress president A Revanth Reddy, and BJP leader and former MP Boora Narsaiah Goud, expressed their condolences.
In a released statement, Naidu said that Dayakar Reddy always worked for the people and made a name for himself as an efficient leader. The former MLA was known for his dedication to serving his constituents and providing solutions to their problems.
Dayakar Reddy’s contribution to public service will always be remembered as he served the people with utmost honesty and sincerity during his political career.
