White Tigress ‘Raksha’ Gives Birth to Three Cubs at Chhattisgarh Zoo: First Visuals Released

A white tigress named Raksha has given birth to three cubs at the Maitri Bagh Zoo in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, according to zoo officials. The cubs, born a month and a half ago, were presented in their first visuals which were released on Monday. The tigress and tiger named Sultan were acquired by the zoo from Nandankanan Zoological Park in 1997, and have produced several offspring. A two-month-old white tiger named Singham was also released at the zoo last November. Breeding among tigers had been stopped during the pandemic, but it resumed six months ago with the arrival of Roma and Sultan.
