In an interview with TMZ Sports, Gronk stated that he would unretire from football if it meant he could represent his country in the 2028 Olympics. He enthusiastically said, Count me in already!
Despite being 39 years old at the time of the Olympic Games, Gronk has maintained his physique and claims to be in top form. He has been taking good care of his body since retiring in 2022 and confidently stated that he is now back to 100 percent. Additionally, he expressed his willingness to join an NFL flag football league if it were to be created.
Although flag football has not yet been officially added to the Olympics, Gronkowski remains optimistic and excited about the potential inclusion. The International Olympic Committee is expected to vote on the matter in the coming days, along with other proposed additions to the Games.
Gronk might not be alone in his ambition to play flag football in the Olympics. Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill recently expressed his interest in participating as well. This could potentially bring some serious firepower to the field in four years’ time.
Aside from his football aspirations, Gronkowski has been keeping busy with his various business ventures. Recently, he co-launched a startup called Voomerang with his girlfriend, Camille Kostek. Voomerang aims to help charities run fundraisers in a fun and engaging manner.
