Community Rallies: Fundraiser Launched to Support Ill Co Armagh Man and Family
The friends of a well-known man from Co Armagh in Northern Ireland have come together to launch a fundraiser to support him and his family. Micéal Lynch from Corrinshego, near Newry, fell critically ill while on holiday in Crete with his wife Jennifer. He has since been diagnosed with a brain tumor and has been transferred back home for further medical treatment and tests.
Micéal Lynch, a 60-year-old husband, father, and grandfather, has been an active member of his local community, participating in various sports and charity organizations over the years. As he undergoes treatment, his wife, who is self-employed, will be unable to work, causing financial strain for the family.
To provide assistance, a Go Fund Me page has been created by the community association to help cover Micéal’s ongoing bills and expenses. The response to the fundraiser has been overwhelming in the short time it has been active, with numerous generous donations and auction prizes, including signed jerseys from Micéal’s beloved Glasgow Celtic.
A fundraising night has also been organized for Saturday, November 4th at Trainors Bar in Dan’s Bessbrook, where locals are encouraged to gather and show their support for the Lynch family.
Micéal is currently under the care of doctors and nurses at Daisy Hill Hospital while undergoing further tests to determine his treatment plan. Described as a popular figure with a larger-than-life personality, Micéal is held in high regard by everyone who knows him. The community is rallying together to ensure he and his family receive the support they deserve during this challenging time.
The Go Fund Me page provides an opportunity for individuals near and far to contribute and make a positive impact on the Lynch family’s lives. Donations will help alleviate financial pressures, allowing them to focus on Micéal’s recovery without added stress.
As Micéal’s story spreads, the outpouring of support illustrates the power of community and unity in times of need. Both locals and those further afield have come together, demonstrating that kindness and generosity can make a real difference.
