The Indian government has recommended a new Yoga protocol named Y-Break, encouraging employees to de-stress, refresh and refocus. The Ministry of AYUSH introduced Y-Break to help professionals while sitting in their office chairs; the protocol includes asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques) and dhyana (meditation) performed during a short break from work. The ministry suggests that office workers can benefit from simple yoga practices to take a few minutes to de-stress, refresh and refocus on high-demand workdays. The order has requested all central government ministries and departments promote Y-Break and awareness among their employees.
