Mumbai: The popular celebrity chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’ is generating excitement among fans as host Karan Johar recently announced on Instagram that the show’s 8th season is set to premiere from October 26th. As discussions about the guest list for this season have taken over online forums, rumors have been circulating about the inclusion of newly married couples such as Sidharth Malhotra- Kiara Advani, Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh- Deepika Padukone, and Vicky Kaushal- Katrina Kaif.
However, a shocking turn of events suggests that Deepika Padukone might have turned down the offer to appear on the show. An old video from Season 6 of ‘Koffee with Karan’ resurfaced online, showing Deepika making a statement that she will never be a part of the show again.
In the video, towards the end of the episode featuring Alia Bhatt and Deepika, host Karan Johar asks Deepika, Who would you give it Deepika if you had to have an objective mind..? Deepika responds, I think we were both good. Suspiciously looking at KJo, she adds, It is her, no? The host laughs, and Deepika goes on to say that she knew Alia Bhatt would be the winner. Deepika concludes the episode by saying, I am a very sensitive person, I can feel it… I am never coming on this show again. And bearing my soul to the world.
Since then, Deepika has never appeared on ‘Koffee with Karan’ again, despite her husband Ranveer Singh’s appearance on the show with Alia Bhatt last year.
