External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar held bilateral meetings with Bangladesh, UK, France, and Singaporean officials in Varanasi during the G20 Development Ministers Meeting. The Indian minister met with Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen and expressed appreciation for their participation in the development meeting as a G20 guest. He also met with UK Minister of State for Development and Africa Andrew Mitchell and discussed how India’s G20 priorities align with their Roadmap 2030.
Additionally, Jaishankar met with French Minister Chrysoula Zacharopoulou and shared perspectives on third country partnerships. The Indian Minister also met with the Singapore Minister Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman and welcomed their participation in the International Solar Alliance.
Jaishankar’s meetings come as the G20 Development Ministers Meeting aims to foster collaboration and sustainable development across member countries. India is taking steps to align their development goals with their Roadmap 2030 as they seek to spur growth and development while addressing global environmental concerns.
