Chief Ajwang Foundation Empowers Suba North Girls with Sanitary Towels
In an effort to support and empower secondary school girls in Suba North constituency, the Chief Ajwang Foundation recently intensified its mentorship program and distributed sanitary towels to the students. By providing these much-needed resources, the foundation aims to help the girls focus on their studies and reduce the incidence of teen pregnancies, which often arise from violations of their rights.
Suba North is a constituency located along the shores of Lake Victoria in Homa Bay County, Kenya. On September 28, 2023, the foundation conducted a mentoring session for over 1,500 school girls. Psychologist Pauline Achieng, along with mentors Vidah Achieng and Violet Antonio, worked tirelessly to provide guidance and support to these young girls.
