Indore Snake Catcher Succumbs to Cobra Bite in Tragic CCTV Incident

In a devastating incident captured on CCTV, a snake catcher lost his life after being bitten by a venomous cobra. The heart-wrenching footage has been circulating on social media, leaving viewers shocked and questioning the authenticity of the video.

The deceased has been identified as Manish, a skilled snake catcher from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. According to reports, Manish had successfully captured a cobra and was en route to release the serpent in the forest when tragedy struck. The entire sequence of events was recorded by a surveillance camera.

The footage shows Manish parking his bike by the roadside before attempting to disembark. However, he immediately collapses to the ground. Visibly distressed, a man in a pink shirt, who was riding pillion, moves away from the bike. Despite the fall, Manish manages to regain his footing while still clutching the snake in his bare hands. For a brief moment, it seemed that he would recover, but suddenly, he falls backward and hits the ground once again. Based on the video, it appears that Manish had asked his companion to halt the bike after being bitten by the venomous cobra.

In the video, the other man can be observed growing increasingly anxious, even running his hand through his hair in confusion. However, he refrains from approaching Manish while the dangerous reptile is still in his grip. The footage ends with the distraught scene, leaving many users shocked by the horrifying turn of events.

When a cobra bites a human, it releases venom that contains neurotoxins. These neurotoxins disrupt nerve impulses and induce symptoms similar to paralysis. The body undergoes convulsions until the heart and lungs fail, due to the debilitating effects of the toxin. While not all cobra bites are fatal, immediate medical attention is crucial to treat snakebites effectively.

Apart from neurotoxins, cobra venom often contains hemotoxins. These substances attack the blood vessels, resulting in bleeding, tissue damage, organ failure, and potentially even death in certain cases.

Snakebite is a serious issue, so much so that the World Health Organization has listed it as one of the neglected diseases. This unfortunate incident in Indore serves as a grim reminder of the dangers faced by snake catchers and the urgent need for raising awareness and providing proper medical care for such cases.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of Manish, while also serving as a warning against underestimating the perils of handling venomous serpents without adequate precautions and expertise.
