DMK Leader Survives Brutal Gang Attack at Bengaluru Hotel
A shocking incident occurred on September 4 at a hotel in Kammanahalli, Bengaluru, where V.K. Guruswamy, a prominent leader of the DMK party, was subjected to a brutal gang attack. Disturbing footage of the incident has gone viral on social media, raising concerns among residents of the state capital.
The video captured a gang of five individuals storming into the hotel and launching a relentless assault on Guruswamy while he was engaged in a conversation with a broker. Despite his attempt to flee, Guruswamy was quickly overpowered by the assailants. They mercilessly thrashed him throughout the hotel, leaving him severely injured.
Law enforcement authorities revealed that the 64-year-old Guruswamy sustained over 70 sword strikes during the attack. Miraculously, he managed to survive and was promptly rushed to the hospital for urgent medical attention. His resilience in the face of such a brutal assault is commendable.
Following investigations, the Banaswadi police apprehended three individuals, namely Karthik, Vinod Kumar, and Prasanna, who were identified as members of the gang responsible for the attack. It was discovered that the assailants were associated with the notorious rowdy Pandiyan, a known criminal in the state.
Guruswamy, known for his political connections in Madurai, has had a tumultuous history with the law. The Tamil Nadu police have previously filed a record against him and he faces multiple allegations, including involvement in eight murders. The East DCP Bheema Shankar Guled stated that Guruswamy has a long-standing feud with another gang that spans three decades.
Currently undergoing treatment at the hospital, Guruswamy’s survival has provided a glimmer of hope amidst the shocking incident. It is also worthy to note that the real estate agent accompanying him suffered serious injuries as well.
