Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav has emphasized that the opposition parties are combining not for personal interests but for the betterment of the country. Yadav spoke to the media and stated that they need to fight those who are attempting to destroy democracy and the constitution. With the BJP losing Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh, he is convinced they will lose the upcoming state elections as well. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has scheduled a meeting on June 23 for top opposition leaders to mobilize against the BJP ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Yadav anticipates 15 parties will attend the meeting aimed at uniting the opposition against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP government at the Centre. The meeting was initially scheduled for June 12, but it was rescheduled due to the inability of opposition leaders such as Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin to attend on the date originally proposed.
