Union Home Minister Amit Shah has recently expressed his desire for a Tamilian to become India’s Prime Minister in the future. Shah made this statement while having a discussion with BJP cadres in the core committee of the BJP South Chennai parliamentary constituency. He said that Tamil Nadu has lost this opportunity twice in the past due to the DMK’s actions. Shah referred to the efforts made in the past to make K. Kamaraj and G. K. Moopanar the Prime Minister.
Shah urged BJP functionaries to work hard to bring BJP to power in the state and make a Tamilian the Prime Minister in the future. He stated that a person from a poor family background in Tamil Nadu should become the Prime Minister in the future, which the BJP could make possible. Shah expressed his confidence in the BJP State Chief K. Annamalai, who he believes can make this a reality.
The Home Minister also emphasized the importance of strengthening booth committees and called for continuing poll preparatory work unhindered. He said that the BJP-led NDA should win at least 25 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, which will provide an opportunity for a Tamilian to become the Prime Minister.
