The key to achieving a developed India lies in the hands of the country’s youth, according to Kumar Ramnikant, the deputy commissioner of Phek. Speaking at the Yuva Utsav-India@ 2047 event organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra in Phek, Ramnikant stressed the importance of vision and a sense of responsibility in fostering a bright future for India. He also highlighted the challenges faced by different areas of the country, including disparities in education, job opportunities, and communication facilities. To address these issues, he called on young people to celebrate their heritage, reject colonial mindsets, and embrace unity and solidarity.
The event, which featured a range of competitions and activities for students, was designed to promote patriotism and India’s values and heritage. The ‘Panch Pran of Amrit Kaal’ theme emphasised the importance of removing colonial mindsets, unity, and a sense of duty. Participants in the painting, poetry, mobile photography, and cultural folk song contests competed for prizes, while government departments showcased their work to the students.
In supporting and empowering the next generation of Indians, Ramnikant and the organisers hope to contribute to the country’s growth and development over the next 25 years. With initiatives like Yuva Utsav-India@ 2047, young people will have the opportunity to showcase their talents, celebrate their diversity, and gain a renewed sense of pride and purpose in their country.
