Two People Killed in Car and Mini Bus Collision in Udupi District, Karnataka

Two people, a teacher and a staff member of the education department, were killed in a car-mini bus collision near Jakkanamakki in Udupi district on Sunday. According to police, the two victims were identified as Subbanna Ganiga, a first-grade assistant at the office of the Deputy Director of Public Instruction, and Soma Shekhar, a physical education teacher at Indira Nagar School in Udupi. The four individuals in the car were returning from a marriage function when their vehicle collided with a private bus heading to Agumbe from Udupi. The driver of the car and another passenger were taken to the hospital in critical condition, while the status of the injured persons is still unknown. Local people took all four individuals to the hospital, where the two victims passed away. The case has been registered at the Hebri police station, and the investigation is ongoing.
