Armed Robbery Suspects Apprehended with Community’s Help in Tamuning: Multiple Charges Filed

Three men suspected of being involved in an armed robbery in Tamuning have been apprehended with the assistance of the local community. The Guam Police Department successfully located and took these individuals into custody following a robbery incident that took place on Tuesday morning at the Camacho Landmark Building.

Upon receiving a robbery call at approximately 8:19 a.m., patrol officers swiftly arrived at the scene and spoke with the alleged victim, as well as multiple witnesses. One witness, displaying tremendous bravery and selflessness, courageously aided the victim during the struggle with one of the suspects. Another bystander diligently monitored the suspect’s escape route, providing vital descriptions of both the suspect and the getaway vehicle. With coordinated efforts, the vehicle was eventually spotted in the HagÃ¥tña area, leading to a successful traffic stop.

The three suspects, identified as Jerome J. Pouk (aged 26), Joshua Aldan Naputi (aged 28), and Jason Paul Fegurgur (aged 37), were found inside the vehicle. They were then transported for further investigation, which involved interviews, gathering evidence, and obtaining witness statements. Based on the gathered information, the police arrested the men on multiple charges.

Jerome J. Pouk faces charges including two counts of robbery, guilt established by complicity, criminal facilitation, illegal possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a firearm without a firearms ID. Joshua Aldan Naputi, on the other hand, was arrested on two counts of robbery, conspiracy, guilt established by complicity, and criminal facilitation. Lastly, Jason Paul Fegurgur faces charges of robbery, conspiracy, criminal facilitation, terrorizing, and, in another case, family violence and the use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony.

Additionally, the investigation revealed the involvement of Jerome J. Pouk and Joshua A. Naputi in a separate robbery incident that occurred on September 17th, 2023, on Kayen Chando, Dededo. During this incident, an elderly woman had her purse snatched by a man who subsequently fled in a vehicle. Despite being unable to identify the model of the vehicle, the victim provided its color. Thankfully, her stolen items were recovered from the vehicle.

The alleged victims in both cases received medical attention for the injuries they sustained during the incidents. Fortunately, their injuries were not fatal, and they are currently in stable condition.

The Guam Police Department expressed gratitude towards the community for their invaluable assistance in locating and apprehending the suspects. Thanks to their collaborative efforts, the suspects were promptly booked and confined at the Department of Corrections. The case has been closed and forwarded to the attorney general’s office for further processing.

This successful outcome serves as a testament to the importance of community engagement in preventing and solving crimes. The Guam Police Department commends the bravery and selflessness displayed by the witness who aided the victim during the robbery, as well as the bystander who provided crucial information about the suspect’s escape route. By working together, the community and law enforcement agencies can create a safer environment for all residents.
