Los Angeles Public Library Hosts Fifth Annual Los Angeles Libros Festival to Celebrate Latinx Heritage Month

The Los Angeles Public Library is proud to announce the Fifth Annual Los Angeles Libros Festival, a celebration of Latinx Heritage Month. This festival, which is the largest of its kind in the city, will showcase bilingual books and a range of activities throughout the month.

With more than 40 events and over 20 authors from nine different countries represented, the Los Angeles Libros Festival aims to bring together authors and performers from across the United States and Spanish-speaking countries. City Librarian expressed their excitement for the event, stating, Every year, the Los Angeles Libros Festival brings together authors and performers from across the [region], and this year, we are proud to host our biggest festival to date!

The festival will take place over two days and will offer free entertainment for all ages. Attendees can look forward to Spanish and bilingual storytelling, performances, art workshops, and the chance to meet award-winning authors. The festival will kick off with a Virtual School Day targeting children in grades K-5. This online event, held on [DATE], will feature interactive activities such as a word game workshop, an artist-led drawing session, and performances by Canticuenticos and César Jarochelo Castro. The Virtual School Day can be accessed on the Los Angeles Public Library’s YouTube channel.

On [DATE], the festival will transition to an in-person event at the Central Library, located at [ADDRESS]. All programming on this day will be presented in both English and Spanish.
