Mark Consuelos, well-known for his role in the hit TV series Riverdale, recently took viewers on a nostalgic tour of his iconic New York City apartment. During an episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, Consuelos shared some insights into his love story with his wife Kelly Ripa as he visited various locations that hold special meaning for them.
In the segment titled Live Loves New York, Consuelos opened the door to his former apartment and his face lit up with delight. The renovated kitchen looked a little different from when he and Ripa lived there over two decades ago.
Consuelos reminisced about their early days as a couple, revealing that they had this apartment when they were first married and expecting their son Michael, who is now 26 years old. The couple also has two other children, Joaquin and Lola.
As he continued the tour, Consuelos pointed out some permanent additions he made to the apartment almost 25 years ago. One interesting update was the installation of a washer and dryer. He proudly showcased the machines, mentioning that the building had to be shut down temporarily to accommodate this change. It seems the building management recognized the value of this addition and kept it intact.
Another notable feature was the outdoor terrace, which Consuelos referred to as the key to the whole apartment. He stepped out to admire the sweeping views of New York City and pointed out the satellite dish he installed on the wall, which surprisingly remained there after all these years.
Moving on, Consuelos visited his son’s old bedroom and fondly recalled the wall decorations that used to be there. He expressed his appreciation for all the wonderful memories created in that space.
But the tour didn’t end there. Consuelos also took viewers to Central Park, where Ripa had dedicated a bench to him with a plaque that read Daddy Cool. It was a birthday gift that touched his heart, and he jokingly mentioned having his own park bench.
And of course, the tour wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the building where Consuelos and Ripa first met while filming All My Children in 1995. This building holds immense meaning for Consuelos, representing the start of his love story and his successful career. Today, he and Ripa are co-hosting Live with Kelly and Mark, with Consuelos officially joining the show in April.
