A tragic incident occurred in Ghaziabad’s Indirapuram, near National Highway 9, where a 13-year-old girl lost her life and four others were injured following a lightning strike. The lightning struck at around 8:30 am on a rainy morning, causing devastation in its wake.
Reports reveal that the injured individuals were quickly transported to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention. Officials from the district administration also arrived at the hospital to assess the situation. Sadly, the doctors declared the 13-year-old girl dead upon her arrival at the hospital. Her sister, aged approximately 16 years, along with two women, also suffered injuries and were admitted to the hospital. Another person was taken to the medical facility as well. However, the condition of all four injured individuals is stable, according to Vinay Kumar Singh, the Sub Divisional Magistrate.
Indirapuram ACP Swatantra Kumar Singh provided further details about the tragic incident, stating that it took place near a temple in Makanpur. The lightning strike resulted in the loss of one young life and caused injuries to several others, compelling them to be rushed to the hospital.
