BeUnic, a prominent LGBTQ+ focused organization, has successfully concluded the DEI Conclave 2023 aiming to promote inclusivity in corporate culture. The event was held at The Lalit Hotel in Barakhamba, New Delhi, and served as a forum for CHROs, HR Heads, D&I Heads, supporting foundations, groups, and LGBTQ+ communities to discuss means for advancing diversity, equity, and inclusivity within the corporate landscape.
BeUnic’s Co-Founder, Ashish Chopra, stated that the DEI Conclave 2023’s theme was ‘Embracing Inclusion’ and aimed to spark conversations regarding diversity and inclusion in the workplace, financial inclusion for all, intersectionality and mental health, and queer representation in the entertainment industry. Through the conclave, the objective was to unite the LGBTQ+ community to foster a sense of belonging and solidarity and to explore how to create supportive networks.
As an organization, BeUnic is dedicated to empowering the queer community through various initiatives such as upskilling, employment opportunities, entrepreneurship, and support activities. BeUnic is a community-oriented e-commerce platform that enables LGBTQ+ artists and designers to offer their products and services. They work with some of the leading NGOs, support groups, and queer individuals in India to offer various forms of aid, including entrepreneurship, mental health support, community events, legal advice, queer literature, and mentorship.
The DEI Conclave 2023 is aimed at raising the bar in inclusivity conversations, particularly within corporate environments. It served as an initiation towards a knowledge-sharing, networking, and collaborative platform among thought leaders, experts, and change-makers.
