Born on September 1, 1964, Robison began his music career in the 1980s, playing with various bands in Austin before forming the Millionaire Playboys. In 1996, he released his debut solo album, Bandera.
Robison’s talent caught the attention of Sony, leading him to sign with them in 1998. His album Life of the Party gained popularity, with well-known tracks like My Hometown and Sunset Boulevard. His single I Want You Bad from the 2001 album Step Right Up even reached the top 40 on the Hot Country Songs chart.
