The ruling alliance between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) in Haryana is intact and will continue, according to Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. There were rumours of a rift between the two parties, but Khattar categorically denied them, stating that the alliance was reached for the public’s welfare and would continue in the future. He also dismissed talks of five Independent legislators meeting BJP in-charge for the state, Biplab Kumar Deb, in the capital ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Khattar said that party organization works independently, while the government works on its own. The present Vidhan Sabha’s term ends in October 2024, and the Lok Sabha elections are due next year in May.
Haryana CM assures that the alliance with JJP is intact and will continue despite rumors of a rift.
